My career


I have always been interested in Arts. My father is a musician and my mother loves writing, and she’s very good at drawing. When I was child I wanted to be singer, but I never learnt to play any musical instrument, so I decided forget about music.
My decision to study Cinema started when I was in first grade, because that year I was very active in the student movement of 2011, and I realized the great influence of the mass media in the people. For that reason, I'm first thought about studying journalism, but then I understood that this career would not allow me to develop my artistic side. In the Cinema I found the perfect way to transmit what I consider important in the life.
My experience at university has been hard for the academic load, but worth it because I love my career. In the future I want to be a film director and edit my own films.

The camera as an empowerment tool

My favorite piece of technology is my camera. I liked because I can capture moments in a second, I can capture the past and see it again as many times as I want, I can also make visible situations that I consider important, in that sense it can serve as a tool empowerment of minorities and people who suffer violence to give them dignity through the resignification and photographic reconstruction of all those groups. Besides, the camera, when capturing moments and leaving them retained in time, allows them not to be forgotten. But the camera isn’t who takes the pictures or who filming the scene. It’s the photographer who does it, that is why it’s important to have a point of view that allows this empowerment and fight against violence. So it’s important to know that this piece of technology it’s a double-edged sword.

My experience using blogs

I usually feel that the English is not for me, and since I ingresses at university It has been very difficult for me, so I suffer to much trying to do the best in this class and this semester wasn’t the exception, it has been very frustrating. But the experience of writing blogs has even started to like me a little and I have been able to see my progress, very slowly but surely, I think. Besides, I have been able to write about topics that interest me. I feel that my writing skills have improved considerably, and I love that now I know more words because I have had to look for synonyms to write better blogs. I’ll tell you a secret, a few years ago, my dream was to be beauty blogger. I think that now I have more possibilities. I don’t know what I would like to include in the future, I would have to think about it.
